Marlborough High Holds 32nd All-nighter After Prom Event To Keep Kids Safe
The idea is to give the kids a fun way to party and stay safe after the prom.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—For the 32nd year, on Friday, June 9, Marlborough High School is supporting the All-Nighter After Prom Party for seniors held at the Wayside Swim and Racket Club. This special themed event with games and surprises is run solely on donations and volunteers. Some of the many activities for the evening are karaoke, a DJ, yard games, a bounce house, Zumba, aqua Zumba, a raffle prize table, swimming, lots of food, and much more, said the announcement.
According to Jackie Plank, a first-grade teacher for MPS and parent of a junior and sixth grader, the event coordinator, “The philosophy of the event is to sponsor a fun filled evening with food, games, and prizes to keep our seniors safe on a weekend that statistically can be very dangerous for them," he said in a statement. "It is a time for them to celebrate their successes with their friends in a safe and fun environment.”
Parents arrive at the club at 9 p.m. to make sure the evening activities are ready to roll. After the prom, students will check in at Marlborough High School and then be bussed as a group to the Wayside Swim and Racket Club arriving at midnight. Colorfully decorated to welcome the over 200 students for an evening of fun, the club will have a photo booth to capture precious memories and students will receive a memorable parting gift, continued the announcement.
