Marlborough High School Gets New Principal
A long-time school administrator has accepted a new position as principal of Marlborough High School.

The search for a new Marlborough High School principal is over. Marlborough school officials announced Friday, Feb. 13 that Chelmsford High School Principal Charles Caliri has accepted the position pending contract negotiations.
He is set to start at the beginning of July.
Caliri was chosen from a pool of 40 candidates, which was narrowed to three the week of Feb. 10, to take over for current principal Wendy Jack at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.

Marlborough Superintendent Richard Langlois said it was clear Caliri was the man for the job, saying “we are very much looking forward to his becoming a member of our administrative team.”
Langlois cited Caliri’s background as a building leader, extensive experience in curriculum, student-centered approach to leadership, background as a director of math, science and technology and his classroom experience as key factors in hiring Caliri.

The superintendent said he expects Caliri will “help move Marlborough High School forward.”
Caliri is currently the principal of Chelmsford High School. His absence will add to a host of other issues the Chelmsford School Board needs to solve, including a nearly $750,000 deficit, the Lowell Sun reports.
