Marlborough Man Charged With New Year's Eve Break-In

A Marlborough man was arrested after police say he broke into a home on New Year's Eve.

MARLBOROUGH, MA- At 12:52 p.m. on New Year's Eve Marlborough Police got a call about a break-in at a mobile home on Phelps Street.

The landlord told police he saw someone enter the home and thought it was suspicious since no one was supposed to be home that day. When police arrived they found the front door bent and forced open and heard noise coming from inside.

Fellype Desouza was found inside and arrested for breaking and entering; there was no one else in the home. Police said the home was empty of most of its contents and looked as if the current tenants were moving out. The only belongings found inside were Desouza's, according to police, including a plastic bag on the couch with what appeared to be a crack pipe with cocaine residue inside. Desouza was charged with drug possession in addition to breaking and entering.
