Marlborough Man Pleads Guilty In Child Exploitation Case
Philip Raymond, 65, filmed more than a dozen children in an attempt to produce child pornography, federal prosecutors said.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — A Marlborough man who has been arrested and charged multiple times in connection to child exploitation cases pleaded guilty on Wednesday to 13 counts of sexual exploitation of children, according to federal prosecutors.
Philip Raymond, 65, was indicted in October 2020 after an investigation into Raymond's role in manufacturing child porn, prosecutors said. He was also arrested in February 2020 and March 2019 on similar charges, but has been in federal prison since 2020.
Federal prosecutors said Raymond filmed 13 different children in his home between 2004 and 2012 in an attempt to make child porn.

"A search of Raymond’s home in 2019 resulted in the seizure of various digital devices containing evidence that Raymond had filmed his sexual abuse of two of those children. The digital evidence also showed that Raymond had set up a recording device in his child’s room and in his home’s bathroom to attempt to record imagery of children in the nude," the U.S. Attorney's office in Boston said in a news release.
Raymond will be sentenced on the charges on Aug. 17. He could face a minimum of 15 years in prison on each charge and a lifetime under supervision, according to prosecutors.
