Marlborough Man Rides 100 Miles to End Alzheimer's
This Marlborough man begins his ride in Fort Devens and ends it in southern New Hampshire.

John Merritt, of Marlborough, is biking 100 miles in the 2015 Ride to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, July 18, according to a release.
Beginning and ending in Fort Devens the Ride provides a two-mile family ride, 30-mile, 62-mile and 100-mile route reaching all the way from Western Massachusetts to Southern New Hampshire.
Merritt’s father and father-in-law both had Alzheimer’s or a related dementia. He joined the Ride to honor their memory and to raise funds towards research.

“The Ride is a great event,” said Merritt in the announcement. “You have the opportunity to meet a lot of people and share a lot of stories.”
”John and the hundreds of other riders have made a big commitment to help fight Alzheimer’s,” said Jim Wessler, president/CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, in the release. “His commitment inspires us and it also supports critical research and programs.”
