Marlborough Mayor Seeks Permission To Clear Trees At Cottage
Marlborough Mayor Arthur Vigeant will go before the Marlborough Conservation Commission on Thursday.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough's mayor will take the role of a citizen this week when he goes before the city Conservation Commission to seek permission to clear trees at a cottage.
Mayor Arthur Vigeant is asking for permission to clear an approximately 12,100 square-foot area outside a cottage along Red Spring Road overlooking the Fort Meadow Reservoir. In his application, Vigeant said the tree removal will be "in anticipation of renovating or replacing [the] existing run down dwelling on site."
In general, the Conservation Commission decides whether proposed development projects are allowed under the state Wetlands Protection Act.
