Marlborough Memorial Day Parade Returns In 2022

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough's traditional Memorial Day parade will return in 2022 after being called off in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2022 Memorial Day parade will step off at 10 a.m. on May 30 at the American Legion Hall, 90 Maple St. The parade will then travel west along Main Street and conclude at the war memorials at Granger Boulevard.

Along the parade route, participants will stop to observe the various war memorials in the downtown area. The parade will include veterans, scouting groups, elected officials and marching bands.

At the end of the parade, there will be a series of speeches memorializing those who have died at war.

Marlborough did hold a Memorial Day ceremony in 2021 outside City Hall near the Vietnam and Korean War memorials — but that event did not include a parade.
