The city said interns have the opportunity to choose from several fields they are interested in, including Services, Information Technology, Conservation and Sustainability, Recreation, Building/Construction/Code Enforcement, Human Resources, Legal and Election Management/City Records.
"It continues to be inspiring to see students excited to contribute to municipal government through our internship program. The interns gain hands-on experience working alongside our dedicated staff, and at the same time, their contributions help support important projects and tasks across multiple departments," said Mayor J. Christian Dumais in a news release. "We have been very lucky these past two years to have many great candidates, which resulted in outstanding interns. It is a great program that benefits both our participants and the City as a whole.”
Applications for the internship program are now open and will close on Monday, Apr. 6. To apply, you must submit the application, cover letter, resume and one reference letter.
