Marlborough Plans To Open City Beach, Pools In June

The recreation department released the tentative opening dates recently, and is still seeking lifeguards to hire.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Get your bathing suit and sunblock ready: Marlborough is about to open its swimming facilities.

The Marlborough Recreation Department last week announced the tentative opening dates for city pools, splash pads and Memorial Beach. The schedule will have all facilities open well before July 4.

Marlborough is also still trying to hire lifeguards for the upcoming swim season. The jobs pay $15 per hour, and applicants over age 16 need to sign up for a certification course that begins in early June. Applicants should contact the recreation department at (508) 624-6925 or by emailing joseph.mulvey@marlborough-ma.gov.
