Marlborough Police Arrest Man Prowling Properties

Police used a K9 to track down the 21-year-old after he was spotted along Essex Street, police said.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A city man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he was seen walking up driveways into yards in the downtown area, according to police.

Marlborough police Sgt. Ken McKenzie, the department's K9 handler, saw the 21-year-old leaning into the window of a pickup truck along Essex Street. The man then ran away from McKenzie and tried to hide behind a house. He later surrendered and was arrested, police said.

The Howe Street resident was charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering a vehicle or boat, receiving stolen property worth more than $1,200, drug possession and disturbing the peace.
