Marlborough Police Department Hiring New Officers

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Are you interested in becoming a police officer in Marlborough?

The Marlborough Police Department is accepting applications for open and upcoming police officer positions. The department is hiring new officers and transfers from other agencies, according to the city’s employment page.

Applicants should submit a cover letter and resume by Aug. 15 to Chief David Giorgi at dgiorgi@marlborough-ma.gov and Deputy Chief Daniel Campbell at dcampbell@marlborough-ma.gov.

Candidates must meet several requirements, including being between 21 and 37 at the time of application, having a high school diploma or GED, holding or obtaining a Massachusetts driver’s license and having no felony convictions.

Candidates must also pass the MPD Fitness Assessment, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 15 at the Whitcomb Middle School back track field, according to the city.

The department is a non-civil service agency with 72 sworn officers and 15 civilian employees. Marlborough police serve a city of more than 40,000 residents and have full accreditation through the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission, according to the city.
