Marlborough Police Get Roughly 62 911 Calls Per Day, May Data Shows

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough police handled more than 3,300 calls for service in May, with traffic stops and 911 calls both rising compared to April.

The department responded to 3,326 calls for service in May 2026, including 57 arrests, 1,907 911 calls, 120 crashes, 1,188 traffic stops and 301 medical calls, according to police statistics provided by the department.

The May report showed an increase in several categories from April, when police reported 1,732 911 calls, 110 crashes, 1,053 traffic stops and 282 medical calls. Arrests declined from 65 in April to 57 in May.

The 1,907 911 calls in May averaged about 62 per day. Police also logged 106 disturbances, up from 98 in April, along with 43 domestic disputes, down from 51 the previous month.

Other May activity included 103 well-being checks, 76 alarm calls, 28 animal complaints, 25 interactions involving a mental health clinician, 22 threats or assaults, 16 larceny or shoplifting calls and five arrest warrants served.

The monthly figures offer a snapshot of police activity across the city, ranging from emergency responses and medical calls to traffic enforcement and quality-of-life complaints.
