MARLBOROUGH, MA — A longtime Marlborough elementary school principal will soon leave that job to take a top post in the school district office.
Richer Elementary School principal Robert Skaza was selected from a pool of applicants to become the district's new superintendent of teaching and learning.

A committee screened several candidates for Murphy's job. She and former superintendent Michael Bergeron collaborated to pick Skaza.
