Marlborough Rotary Club Day of Service - Sat., Sept. 29
Volunteers needed to work on a variety of projects

The Marlborough Rotary Club is joining forces with the Boy Scouts, the neighboring Rotary Clubs of Northborough, Southborough, and Westborough, Salvation Army, Holy Trinity Anglican Church, June’s Table, and Kits for Kids for a day of community service.
It all starts at 8:30a.m. at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Hall, 472 Lincoln Street, Marlborough, where volunteers will arrive to find a variety of projects on which to work. All work, apart from cooking and serving at June’s Table, will be completed by 12:00 noon.
There will be clearing and putting up signs along the Boroughs Trail; packing 300 Kits for Kids in traumatic situations; play Bingo with senior citizens; make Halloween goody packages for the “Trunk or Treat” event; making collection boxes for toiletries, cleaning supplies and hygiene products for which food stamps cannot be used; and many more.

If the evening works better, you can help us serve deserving individuals at June’s Table 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church Hall.
At 11:00 a.m., the Salvation Army’s Mike Skoog will make a presentation on disaster preparedness. That is a topic of particular interest following the gas explosions and fires in the Merrimack Valley.

“Members of the Rotary Club have been working hard to put a bunch of worthwhile projects together that can be completed in a day, Marlborough Rotary Club President David Morticelli said. “We hope that other members of the community and service organizations will support our efforts by volunteering or bringing their own project to the group on Saturday.”
So, we urge all public-spirited individuals and organizations to join us for this day of service to our neighbors in the greater Marlborough community. For information, contact committee chair, Lynn Faust at lynn@strongcommunity.org
