“As long-time sponsors of the Boys & Girls Club basketball league, it made sense for us to interact with the club members on this level. We all really enjoyed ourselves in the game.” comments Rick Bennett, President & CEO of Marlborough Savings Bank. “We’re thrilled to have the continued support of MSB, both on and off the basketball court. We’re not sure who had more fun, though – the kids or MSB!” adds Francis Hurley, President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest.
The members were expecting an easier game from their challengers. “They told us you might not be so good at playing, so we took it easy in the first quarter. Then we saw you could actually play!” says one member after the game had finished. Following the basketball game, the members were eager to keep the games going. “You guys came here to have fun, so you’re going to have fun!” comments another member after inviting MSB employees to stay at the club and play more games. MSB employees were more than happy to oblige.
