Marlborough Scarecrow Contest Returns For Second Spooky Year
The winning scarecrows will be featured in Marlborough's 2022 Horribles Parade near Halloween.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough Recreation will host another scarecrow contest this year, allowing residents to compete for prizes and to grab a spot in the 2022 Horribles Parade.
To enter the all-ages contest, residents can pick up a wooden scarecrow frame right now at the Marlborough Recreation Department, 239 Concord Road. Scarecrows must be returned by Oct. 21 in order to be on display at the Oct. 27 Horribles Parade at Union Common. Builders will get to keep their creations following the parade.
On top of being on display at the Halloween parade, the top three best scarecrow builders will be awarded gift cards. The winners from 2021 included some traditional scarecrow designs, and one Sonic the Hedgehog.
