MARLBOROUGH, MA—Marlborough students are showing the smarts soon, and again, when they head to the national competition after climbing up in some wins at the regional level.
A team from the Advanced Math and Science Academy is competing at high school quizbowl nationals, the National Scholastic Championship (NSC), on June 2 and 3. NSC is held in Reston, VA, at the Hyatt Regency Reston. AMSA quizbowlers (yes, that's what they're called) compete against more than 90 other high school teams from around the country and the world.
AMSA’s A team won the Plymouth Regional Inaugural Academic Tournament in September, placing first of 12 teams. AMSA's team is comprised of seniors Abhiram Kolluri, William Hodge, Thomas Hodge and Daniel Temmallo.
