Marlborough Solar Company Doubles Workforce, Bringing 100 More Jobs to Company

Sunrun announced its opening in Marlborough, which brings 100 more jobs to the company, and 100 jobs to Marlborough.

Sunrun, a residential solar company, opened a new branch office on Marlborough on Wednesday, which is expected to bring more than 100 jobs to the area and double the company’s workforce, reported MarketWatch.

The positions range from electricians to home solar project managers.

Representative Danielle Gregoire and Mayor Arthur Vigeant attended the opening, with Gregoire commenting to MarketWatch, “Most people today want to be environmentally friendly and reduce the costs of caring for their home. I think it is fantastic that there will be a company in our community that provides this service in an affordable and cost effective manner.”

Sunrun made its debut in Massachusetts in 2009, and says it has saved customers more than $3.2 million electricity.
