Marlborough Super Tuesday Results Ward By Ward
Former vice president Joe Biden carried Marlborough on Super Tuesday, but not in every part of the city. See the ward-by-ward results.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Super Tuesday was a bit more super in Marlborough in 2020. Just over 7,300 voters cast a ballot in just the Democratic primary, up from the 6,200 who voted in 2016.
Former vice president Joe Biden carried Marlborough with about 33 percent of the vote overall. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders finished in second with 27 percent of the vote, and U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren came in third with about 19 percent. Former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg came in fourth in every ward and precinct.
President Donald Trump won in a landslide in the Republican primary, but a slightly smaller one compared to other local communities. Trump got about 82 percent of the vote, and former governor William Weld took about 11 percent. In nearby Milford, Trump beat Weld 88 percent to 7 percent.

But in the Democratic primary, overall numbers don't tell the whole story. Sanders and Biden were in first or second place in every precinct, with Biden winning a majority of precincts. That trend held when you added up ward totals — except in Ward 1, where Warren came in second by two votes.
In general, Sanders won in the more urban parts of Marlborough in the downtown core while Biden carried more rural areas along the city borders. Here's the breakdown by each ward overall, and each precinct within the wards.
