Marlborough Teen Performing in Cabaret Troupe
"Mixed Emotions" kicks off Marlborough's summer concert series this month on Union Common.

"Mixed Emotions," a teen cabaret troupe from Riverside Theatre Works in Boston, will open the summer concert series on Union Common at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 21.
Alyssa Chamberlain, a junior at , is a four-year member of the troupe, a group of high school students that performs primarily in the greater Boston area. Their repertoire includes broadway, jazz, music from the 30s and 40s, Sixties Chicks and the Jersey Boys. In addition to shows at Riverside Theatre, they perform at Boston Mayor Tom Menino's holiday party for seniors, and do weekend outdoor performances at Downtown Crossing. They have also been performing several times a year at Indian Head Resort in Lincoln, NH.

Chamberlain, a member of Marlborough High's mixed chorus, will be singing with the Acapella choir at school next year. An honor student, she has been captain of her Relay for Life Team, "JJ's Avengers," since freshman year. She is vice president of SADD, a member of the AFS Club, and a member of the Art Honor Society and the Music Society. Chamberlain has also participated with the Drama Club in the spring musical for the past three years.
