Marlborough's Advanced Math And Science Academy Has New Principal
Mike Nawrocki has been with the school for almost ten years.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough's Advanced Math and Science Academy (AMSA) has a new principal, but he's not exactly new to the school. Mike Nawrocki has been working in the charter school for almost ten years, but has moved into the position of principal.
Nawrocki started with AMSA in 2010 as a special needs teacher and quickly moved into administration as the dean of students. Nawrocki is a Marlborough native and said in his school biography, part of the reason he was drawn to AMSA was the fact that it was located in the city he was raised. Nawrocki said another big factor drew him to the school, "The tremendous potential of the school, I started in 2010 when the school was just five years old," his biography reads.
Nawrocki takes the helm of the school just as AMSA was named the second best public high school in Massachusetts by U.S. News. The school also ranked 40th in charter schools in the nation and has a 98 percent graduation rate.
