Marlborough's Advanced Math & Science Academy School Takes on Acton-Boxborough in the Quiz Show Quarter-Finals
Students from eight Massachusetts high schools face off in this academic tournament on WGBH.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Eight Massachusetts high school academic teams moved on to the quarterfinal round of WGBH’s High School Quiz Show after besting their opponents in the first round.
The quarterfinals of the tournament begin Saturday, April 9, at 6 p.m. on WGBH-2 when Marlborough’s Advanced Math & Science Academy Charter School takes on Acton-Boxborough Regional High School.

“It has been exciting to see how Massachusetts students have taken to academic competition since the beginning of High School Quiz Show,” said executive producer Hillary Wells in a statement. “Both veterans and first time players are bringing their best to the WGBH audience. Good luck to the eight teams moving on to the Quarterfinals!”
Hosted by Billy Costa, High School Quiz Show is produced and broadcast by WGBH. The seventh season of the program concludes on Saturday, May 21 with the Massachusetts State Championship at 6pm, followed by the Governor’s Cup Challenge at 6:30pm. WGBH’s High School Quiz Show state champion team will meet New Hampshire Public Television’s Granite State Challenge winner for the fourth annual interstate quiz show face-off.
