Marlborough's Greatest Secret

The Addiction Referral Center (ARC) in Marlborough, Massachusetts, has been a trusted community resource for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder for more than five decades. Founded in 1972 and located at 33 Main Street, the nonprofit organization provides a welcoming, stigma-free space where people can seek help, guidance, and connection. What began as a small, peer-driven drop-in center has grown into a cornerstone of recovery support in the MetroWest region, serving thousands each year with compassion and respect.

ARC offers free, confidential services that include peer-led recovery meetings such as AA, NA, GA, and Al-Anon, individualized referral assistance to treatment and social services, recovery coaching, and support for families. In addition to direct services, the center plays an important role in education and advocacy, working to reduce stigma and increase understanding of addiction as a treatable disease. As demand for services continues to grow, the Addiction Referral Center remains committed to expanding its capacity and ensuring that anyone seeking recovery knows they are not alone.

The ARC has outgrown its present surroundings and is in the middle of a capital campaign to find a new home. We are reaching out to ask if you would consider a gift to the ARC and the hundreds of people that are served each month.

• Purchasing and renovating a larger building that will house two meeting rooms (one for large speaker meetings and one for small groups), a kitchen, office space for two Recovery Coaches, an administrative work area, accessible restrooms, and storage.
• Providing plenty of off-street parking and ensure that people with physical challenges can easily access the building.
