Marlborough's Half Axe Gets Beer/Wine License

The licensing board signed off on the throwing facility's beer and wine license on Wednesday.

MARLBOROUGH, MA- Half Axe, an axe-throwing facility in the Apex Center on Route 20, was cleared by the Licensing Board for a beer and wine license.

The business opened last year in the Apex center and has 16 individual fenced-in throwing lanes. The lanes are 15-feet long and separated by chain-link fences. Groups are welcomed as well from as small as six to as large as 24. Average visits range from 45 minutes to one hour.

The throwers and spectators will be separated by a small wall and stools and customers will not be allowed to drink while throwing.
