Marlborough's WMCT Plans First Live 'Thanksgiving' Broadcast
The Nov. 17 TV event will be a celebration of local nonprofits in the Marlborough area.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — There's a special Thanksgiving TV special coming to Marlborough this year. WMCT, the city's local cable channel, will host a live broadcast close to the holiday to thank local nonprofits who work in and around Marlborough.

On Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m., Marlborough residents should tune in to WMCT-TV as we celebrate the local non-profit groups and charitable organizations that support our city.

"Non-Profits are so important in our community — this is a chance for us to show our gratitude and give these organizations a media platform to promote their efforts and encourage the community to get involved and learn more," WMCT-TV Executive Director Ryan Malyar said. "This isn’t a telethon — we aren’t asking for money — but hopefully the Marlborough residents will be inspired to take action and make a difference in a positive way by supporting some of these awesome groups."
This heartfelt program is guaranteed to get you in the Thanksgiving spirit. Marlborough residents will be inspired by the awesome achievements and projects being completed by the neighbors among us. WMCT-TV is truly grateful to provide this opportunity to showcase the community and we hope to make it an annual event.
