The Metrowest Princess Boutique helps girls get to the prom by easing the financial burden that is buying the dress, shoes, make-up and accessories to get there.
In partnership with the GFWC Marlborough Junior Women’s Club, Marlborough High School is participating in and will host this year’s Boutique from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 7.
All of these items, dresses, shoes, make-up and accessories are donated to the event and are free to boutique shoppers.

Participating schools pre-qualify girls who are eligible to shop at the boutique.
On March 7, participants have the help of a personal shopper to help them pick out gowns, shoes and accessories. Make-up artists and seamstresses, too, are available help create the perfect ensemble for prom or senior reception. Hundreds of brand-new gowns will be available as well as fashionable gently worn gowns and accessories that are donated to the boutique.

“We are reaching out to our recent graduates and asking them to ‘pay it forward’ by donating gently used prom dresses and accessories,” said MHS Guidance Counselor Sharon Buckley in a press release. “Anyone interested in making a donation may drop them off at MHS’s main office to my attention.”
Gowns and accessories should be updated and should appeal to high school girls. Other items needed for the event have been posted on the boutique’s website.
Supporters can easily shop on the boutique’s Amazon wish list linked to the website, or they can use the Amazon wish list as a guideline for donations. Volunteers who want to donate their time that day to help with the boutique can sign up on the boutique’s website as well, as can participants who would like an “appointment” with a personal shopper.
Donated items can be dropped off at Marlborough High School during school hours, or during regular business hours at Hudson’s Serendipity, located at 63 Main St.
Donations are requested as soon as possible so boutique organizers can plan accordingly.
