More Than $40,000 Granted to Employment Options, Boys and Girls Clubs, More
Marlborough Brigham Family Trust awarded grants to 13 Marlborough organizations.

The Marlborough Brigham Family Trust awarded $40,000 in grants for the third year of grant-making for the Trust.
A total of $101,554 was requested from various community organizations this year.
“We continue to be very encouraged by the quality and diversity of the programs these grant applications detail,” said the announcement. “Fully funding all requests is not feasible, but we believe the funds we are able to award will help many of these organizations be well on their way to implementing and/or sustaining some exceptional programs and services.”

The following received awards:
The Addiction Referral Center – Awarded $2,800 for furniture and window treatments for the Center’s meeting room.

Boys and Girls Clubs – Awarded $2,100 toward funding of wireless network and computer charging capabilities in the club’s Technology Center.
Civil Air Patrol – Awarded $700 for supplies and equipment used for training and emergency services purposes.
Employment Options – Awarded $2,620 to be used for the Young Adult Technology Center.
Fresh Start Furniture Bank – Awarded $1,750 to be used to secure warehouse space for the household furniture and housewares recycling services that benefit those in need.
Friends of the Marlborough Public Library – Awarded $2,800 to help sustain its admission-free programming for the upcoming calendar year.
Friends of the Marlborough Senor Center – Awarded $4,200 to be used for the Center’s nutrition literacy program.
GFWC Marlborough Junior Women’s Club – Awarded $1,750 to be used to help fund a new child safety program.
Ghost Light Players of MetroWest – Awarded $2,450 to help fund the expansion of the Players’ traveling admission-free performances of the works of William Shakespeare.
Greater Marlborough Programs – Awarded $4,200 for programming to help meet the needs of developmentally disabled individuals and their families.
Holy Trinity Anglican Church – Awarded $4,200 for capital repairs to the Outreach Center to allow for occupancy of such programs as the children’s free summer lunch program, support groups, AA, and more.
Marlborough Children’s Summer Lunch Program – Awarded $2,100 to continue the program and expand it to include parents/guardians.
Marlborough High School All-Sports Booster Club – Awarded $4,200 to be used in the purchase of a new utility vehicle for home sporting events.
Marlborough Historical Society – Awarded $4,200 for the “Safe and Sound Structure Project” (infrastructure repairs to the 1688 Captain Peter Rice Homestead).
