Mosquito Spraying Coming To Marlborough This Week

The Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project is in the midst of spraying in towns and cities across the state.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project will return to Marlborough this week to spray for mosquitoes. Spraying usually happens every Wednesday in Marlborough, according to the organization.

The spraying typically happens every year between March and September. Spraying may be especially important in 2020 because of last summer's Eastern Equine Encephalitis outbreak. EEE outbreaks typically last over several summers. Local mosquitoes also transmit the West Nile Virus.
