New Director of Lifelong Learning Settling in at UCMH

Roberta Altamari is bringing bringing creativity and innovation to the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson.

The Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson is pleased to announce Roberta Altamari as the church’s new director of Lifelong Learning.

Altamari brings more than 12 years of experience in religious education and youth ministry in communities such as Watertown, Sudbury, and Framingham. She is currently a Fahs Fellow through Meadville Lombard Theological School for which she is doing an independent research project exploring new ways to meet the unique spiritual needs of teenagers today.

“Roberta will be bringing creativity and innovation as she revitalizes the lifespan religious education programs at UCMH with specific attention to social justice work and multigenerational connections,” said the Rev. Alice Alice Anacheka-Nasemann. “We’re very grateful to have someone with her experience with us here at UCMH.”

Altamari is introducing thought-provoking programs, including justice themed book groups and movie nights, to the church’s Spiritual Growth Center this fall.

“I chose UCMH because of the church’s commitment to social justice work and to its innovative approach to supporting people on their unique spiritual paths,” said Altamari. “If you are looking for a church home where you and your kids can explore their own spirituality without religious dogma telling them what they should believe, this is the perfect time to visit UCMH.”
