New Marlborough Cannabis Retailer Set For Final Approval
The state Cannabis Control Commission will meet Friday to approve Local Roots NE's final license.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough adult cannabis retailer Local Roots NE will go before the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) on Friday for final license approval, the final step before the dispensary can begin selling to the public.
Local Roots NE is planning a nearly 2,000 square-foot store at 910 Boston Post Road near the Sudbury line at Hager Pond. The company operates two other dispensaries in Fitchburg and Sturbridge.
Local Roots first proposed the new store in June 2020 with backing from Marlborough-based Keystone Development Corporation co-founders Michael Staiti and Rick Olstein. The chain was founded in 2016 by Dean Iandoli and Catherine Trifilo.
