The New Scam Tracker Annual Risk Report
CBBB has come up with a new way of identifying the risk factor of top scams across the U.S. and Canada.

In honor of Nation Consumer Protection Week (U.S.) and Fraud Awareness Month (Canada), The Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB) has come up with a new way of identifying the risk factor of top scams across the U.S. and Canada with the first BBB Scam Tracker Annual Risk Report.
This new annual report takes a closer look at the scams BBB Scam tracker highlights by using a “Risk Index” - a risk factor determined by the exposure, susceptibility, and monetary loss for each scam.
The making of this report was a collaborative project made possible by the BBB Institute for Marketplace Trust and the Council’s Research and Insights Department. There were more than 32,000 reports published by BBBs in 2016 that were put into this year’s Risk Report.
