Tickets on sale now!

Tickets are now on sale for the River’s Edge Players production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Dale Wasserman from the novel by Ken Kesey. The performances will take place at Hudson Town Hall, 78 Main Street on Friday & Saturday, April 10 & 11 at 7:30pm and Sunday, April 12 at 2:00pm

The Tony Award winning play features the character of Randle P McMurphy, an unscrupulous yet charming inmate, who manipulates his way to serving a short sentence in a mental institution rather than a prison. Thinking he’s pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes, he realizes he’s made a serious mistake when he clashes with the head nurse, the fierce and unscrupulous Nurse Ratched. McMurphy then takes over the yard quickly becoming the top dog, leading all of the other vulnerable dogs astray. He stages a revolt in order for the inmates to watch the World Series on TV, and for his punishment Nurse Ratched has him submitted to shock treatment hoping to teach him a lesson. Once out and back to his old self, McMurphy kicks back by arranging a boisterous midnight party in the institution by sneaking in liquor and women. Nurse Ratched catches McMurphy in the act and having had enough of his prowess and games she delivers the final blow.
