MetroWest students were dressed to the nine with smiling faces and full backpacks on Wednesday morning as they headed into their first day of school. If the students were excited, the parents might have been more excited, snapping photos of their kids heading back to school.

We asked parents to share those photos with Patch so we could see kids first day faces and the response was incredible.

From middle schoolers in Wayland to seniors celebrating their last first day in Marlborough, parents captured every moment. There were so many comments emails and submissions we had to narrow down the selection.
