Police Notify About Level 3 Sex Offender Living In City

The man is not wanted by police and has served time for previous charges against him.

MALRBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough police notified the public of a level three sex offender who is living in the city. The department is required to let residents know when sex offenders of this level are residing in the area. The man is not wanted by police or facing any current charges.

Stephen Young was convicted in 1989 of assault of a child with intent to rape, indecent assault and battery of a child under 14 and lewd behavior. The department posted on Facebook the notification with two of Young's addresses in the city.

Level three sex offenders are considered high risk of re-offense.
