Registration for Corrections Officer Exam is Open

Have you been thinking about a career as a corrections officer? Now’s the time.

The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office is accepting registrations through July 13 for its upcoming Correction Officer Exam, which is slated for July 18.

“We are seeking qualified, motivated men and women interested in careers in corrections for our 39th Basic Training Academy,” said Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian in an announcement.

Applicants must be 19 years of age, a U.S. citizen, and a resident of Massachusetts by the date of the exam in July. They must also have a high school degree or equivalent certificate and possess a valid motor vehicle license. A Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in law enforcement or security is preferred.
