Renovated Embassy Suites Opens In Marlborough

The Boston Post Road hotel recently underwent a $16 million renovation, including the addition of a new bar and restaurant.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough's newest hotel held a grand-opening ceremony on Wednesday. Local officials welcomed the new Embassy Suites along Boston Post Road after a $16 million renovation.

The hotel opened in 1988, but the owner, Rockbridge Capital, began a massive renovation 18 months ago. The renovation included an overhaul of all 230 rooms, a new lobby and atrium, and a new bar and restaurant, the Stone 31 Bar + Kitchen.

The owners hope to tap into Marlborough's location in between Worcester, Boston, and Logan Airport — plus local attractions like the New England Sports Center and the Nashoba Valley Winery.

The hotel actually created a special "hockey game room" for families visiting Marlborough to use the NESC.

"Catering to hockey and sports families, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Marlborough features a 'hockey game room' where families can relax and enjoy some friendly competition, along with the year-round firepit, where families can toast marshmallows and enjoy s’mores. In addition to the large indoor pool and whirlpool, families can also enjoy a game room outfitted with video arcade games," the hotel said in a press release.
