Santa To Visit Marlborough Early In 2022 With Help From Firefighters

MARLBOROUGH, MA — You better not shout, you better not cry: Santa Claus is coming to Marlborough.

The Marlborough Fire Department will bring back its "Santa Run" event in 2022. Firefighters will chauffeur St. Nick on the back of a fire truck through city neighborhoods over three nights on Dec. 16, 17 and 18.

The department held its first Santa Run in 2020, bringing Christmas cheer to residents when in-person gatherings were impossible due to the pandemic. That year, the department used a smartphone app to let residents know where Santa was on his tour through Marlborough.

The department did not release Santa's 2022 route, but urged residents to stay tuned for updates as the run dates approach.

Of course, Santa will also be back in Marlborough on Dec. 25 for his usual activities.
