Marlborough Schools Canceled For A Second Day, Parking Rules Remain In Place

Parts of Middlesex County have seen more than 15 inches of snow.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A major blizzard hit Massachusetts, and some cities and towns in Central Massachusetts saw more than a foot of snow.

Parts of Middlesex County have seen more than 15 inches of snow, as of 12:45 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. A state of emergency remains in effect across multiple counties in the state, and Marlborough took precautions ahead of the storm, including closing schools and public buildings.

Parking Ban

The city is asking residents to stay off the roads and avoid on-street parking from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. every night, as part of a Winter Parking Ban that went into effect on Dec. 1, 2025. Marlborough said it will remain in effect until Mar. 15, 2026.

All vehicles parked on-street may be ticketed, and vehicles that interfere with snow or ice removal are subject to towing and storage.

Schools Closed, Offices Reopen

All Marlborough Public Schools will be closed for a second day on Tuesday, the school district announced on Monday afternoon. However, administrative offices will remain open.

City Hall and all municipal offices will reopen on Tuesday, and all public safety and emergency response departments will be fully operational.

Trash pickup will be delayed tomorrow.
