Sudbury Reservoir Search For Missing Ware Man Finds No Sign

Jeffrey Allard, 57, was last seen leaving Marlborough Hospital on Jan. 22, according to his family.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A three-day water search for a missing Ware man last seen in the Marlborough has come up empty, according to state police.

Jeffrey Allard, 57, was last seen leaving Marlborough Hospital on Jan. 22, according to his family. State police began searching the Sudbury Reservoir near the Southborough-Marlborough border on Friday, but did not find any sign of Allard. Police also used helicopters to search the area.

Police said they will no longer search the reservoir unless they get new information about Allard.

"State Police divers and marine unit personnel were assisted in today’s search by the Boston Fire Department dive team, Massachusetts Environmental Police and the Marlborough police and fire departments. Today was the third day of the water search; the water search will not resume Monday unless relevant new information is developed," state police said Sunday night.

Allard's family began circulating information last week about his disappearance. Allard's daughter, Larissa Ostiguy, said that her father's phone is dead or off, but they were able to briefly track his location via his Gmail account. That digital trail ended abruptly near the intersection of Cook Lane and Farm Road, according to a map shared by Ostiguy.
