Tech Company Opens Marlborough Office; 48 New Jobs

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A new tech company moved into Marlborough on Tuesday and brought new jobs with it. Nasuni corporation, a leading provider of cloud file services, opened a satellite location in Marlborough at 313 Boston Post Road West. The company's headquarters are in Boston's Seaport District.

Nasuni is hiring software engineers as demand for the company’s multi-cloud platform continues to increase. A company spokesperson said Nasuni will be hiring software engineers and technical support engineers to fill the 48 person office by year’s end.

“Boston is a hotbed of tech expertise and the city’s energy aligns well with the disruptive nature of our work,” said Scott Dussault, CFO and COO of Nasuni. “The MetroWest region has a strong enterprise IT heritage. Our Marlborough office will enable us to draw from this significant pool of talent and attract those who want to be part of an exciting shift in tech, but don’t want to commute into the city. It will also allow us to provide more flexibility for our existing employees.”

Nasuni’s expansion into the I-495 corridor and MetroWest region reflects its dramatic growth. In 2018, Nasuni’s software subscription revenue increased by 52 percent year-over-year and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) continued to accelerate – achieving a five-year compounded ARR growth rate of 66 percent, with an increase of 120 percent over the previous two years. Nasuni also introduced the first multi-cloud solution that combines primary and archive file storage and automatically reduces costs as files age – an innovation that eliminates the need for IT departments to constantly move files to less expensive, slower storage tiers.

Marlborough was named among the world’s Smart21 Communities of 2016 by Intelligent Community Forum, a prominent New York think tank. Marlborough currently houses offices for SanDisk Corporation, Central Square Technologies and Oracle.
