Threatening Note Found At Assabet Valley School In Marlborough

Breaking: a note was found on Wednesday morning at Assabet Valley that was threatening in nature. There is police presence at the school.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Police responded this morning to the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School to an apparent threatening note found inside the school.

On Wednesday, March 29, at approximately 9 a.m., the note was discovered and administrators quickly contacted the Marlborough Police Department, who then also called in Marlborough Fire Department and the Massachusetts State Police. A thorough search of the school and grounds was conducted and nothing was found, said an announcement from the school.

"There was an abundance of care and caution taken to ensure the safety of all students and staff during this time," said an announcement on the school's page. "School will be resuming normal operations but there will be a police presence on campus for the remainder of the day. All afternoon student activities will be cancelled for today."

The Marlborough Police Department is continuing to conduct an investigation to identify the origin of the note.
