Three-Car Crash Sends 3 people to Hospital

One of the victims was airlifted to UMass Worcester Medical Center, according to police.

MARLBOROUGH, MA- On Tuesday morning Marlborough police responded to a three car accident at the junction of Rte. 20 and Ames Street.

A car drove across the intersection of Route 20 and into oncoming traffic, hitting two other cars, according to police.

Three people were taken to the hospital to be treated but one of the three victims had to be airlifted from the initial hospital to UMass Worcester Medical Center- the extent of the injuries is now known according to police.

Police said they are not sure how many people in total were involved in the crash but that there may have been another passenger in one of the cars.
