Unitarian Church Looks to Community to Help Built Its Kitchen
The Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson installed a new kitchen, but is over budget by more than $2,000. They ask for your help.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Hey, doesn't everyone always end up in the kitchen?
They call their congregation "small but mighty," sitting solidly at 45. And that congregation, as well as reaching out to the greater community, largely centers around the kitchen at the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson.
Using its kitchen for monthly potlucks, coffee hours, parties, fundraisers, as well as a host space for many programs and classes, the church members knew it was necessary to upgrade its historic and failing kitchen.

"When our gas range finally kicked the bucket, our congregation committed to an $8,000 kitchen renovation project to bring our kitchen back to life and up to code," said a spokesperson on its crowdsourcing fundraiser on Faithify.
That quickly escalated, and other items needed ranges from a new refrigerator to a dishwasher.

The work and appliances to date exceeded its budget by $2,464, so church members are asking the community to help pay for its new kitchen.
