United Brethren Masons Dontate $5,000 to Dyslexia Tutoring Program

United Brethren Masonic Lodge supports free tutoring center for children with dyslexia.

The United Brethren Masonic Lodge presented a check for $5,000 last month to the Children’s Dyslexia Centers, which provides tutoring free of charge to Massachusetts children with dyslexia-related learning disabilities. Currently, children in Metrowest have to travel to Newtonville or Worcester for tutoring because there is no center in our area. There is also a capacity issue, so many children have had to be placed on a waiting list. The Marlborough Masons are collaborating with City officials to find a suitable location to establish a local center. The United Brethren Lodge also administer Marlborough’s Teacher of the Year Award and Angel Fund, which assists needy Marlborough school children with purpose-specific donations. The Dyslexia center donation was funded by sponsors of the Mason’s annual Main Street Car show, which takes place in Downtown Marlborough the first Sunday in June.
