Victor W. Mackiewicz: Marlborough Patrolman, Military Veteran

Services will be held Monday and Tuesday.

Victor W. Mackiewicz, a longtime Marlborough resident, died Friday, Dec. 12, after an illness. He was 86.

Mackiewicz served in the military, active duty and reserves, for more than 40 years, including service during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Mackiewicz also devoted 33 years to the Marlborough Police Department, serving as a patrolman until his retirement in 1989, according to his obituary.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barbara, as well as numerous children and stepchildren and other family members.

Visitation will be held Monday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home. His funeral will take place Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 11:30 a.m.
