Vigeant, Bigelow Win Preliminary Marlborough Election

Marlborough is reporting its preliminary election results.

The current mayor will challenge Edward L Bigelow in the Marlborough municipal election in November, according to preliminary results from the Oct. 6 election.

Arthur G. Vigeant garnered 1,274 votes to Bigelow, who pulled in 393, securing them places on the Nov. 3 ballot. Paul S. Polewacyk received 374 and Erik C. Jewett received 181. 

Eight candidates vie for councilor-at-large seats, winning the preliminary election.

Domenic J. Valarioti got 722 votes to 666 for Peggy Margaret Ayres, securing them a spot on the Nov. 3 election ballot for seats on the Assabet Valley School Committee.
