What Were the 'Explosions' on Berlin Road?

Readers commented that they heard what sounded like a series of gunshots early Thursday morning in the Berlin Road area.

The sounds came from a structure fire that occurred at 202 Berlin Road, said police.

At 5:18 a.m., iAlerts1 reported that firefighters battled a blaze in a residence and struggled with water issues.

By 7 a.m., the bulk of the heavy fire had been knocked down, and firefighters “worked on small pockets of fire” but were still having water problems.
