Who's Running So Far in the Marlborough Election?
Five already vying for mayor seat. Here's an update on those who have pulled papers to run for offices in the next Marlborough election.

Nomination papers were available in early April for those interested in running for several positions up for grabs in the next Marlborough election.
Open seats are one for mayor (two-year term), four at-large councilors (two-year term), seven ward councilors (two-year term), three school committee members (four-year term) and one district committee member for the Assabet Valley Regional Vocational School.
According to the town clerk, 33 residents have pulled papers to run for seats in the election.

The deadline to pick up papers to run is Aug. 14 at 5 p.m. and the deadline to have them certified is Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. is the deadline to file the certified papers, making these candidates official.
A preliminary election (if needed) will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and the municipal election is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
