Woman Caught Stealing Hair Straightener: Marlboro PD
Employees saw the woman slip a hair straightener and shampoo into her purse, police said.
MARLBOROUGH, MA- A Boston woman was arrested in Marlborough on Wednesday and is facing shoplifting charges.
The woman was perusing the aisles of the Sally Beauty Supply store on Boston Post Road West when employees saw her slip a flat iron hair straightener in her bag, according to police. Employees at the store also told police a bottle of shampoo was missing from the shelf as well.
When police got to the store they stopped the woman, identified as Titia Jeffreys, near her car in the parking lot. When she was first being arrested Jeffreys gave officers a fake name and didn't give up her real name until she was booked at the police station, according to police.

Jeffreys was charged with shoplifting and a disguise to obstruct justice, for giving the fake name. This was her second shoplifting offense and police said the total value of the stolen items was $293.
