Woman Charged With OUI After Crashing Into Telephone Pole

MARLBOROUGH, MA- A Marlborough woman was arrested just after midnight on Sunday. Police charged Patrice Grant with Operating Under the Influence (OUI).

Witnesses told police they saw Grant swerving while driving down Farm Road and continuing to drive erratically on Walker Street until she hit a telephone pole on Brigham Street. According to witnesses, Grant crashed into the pole twice before police arrived.

Grant was not injured and the pole was not severely damaged.

Officers reported smelling alcohol on her breath and performed a field sobriety test.

Along with the OUI charge, Grant faces a marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a vehicle.
